News & Socials: Paul Lowe Criterium returns to Sarajevo
The second edition of the Paul Lowe Criterium took place in Sarajevo on May 30, 2026, as part of the city’s Giro Bike Weekend, organized by Giro di Sarajevo.
Paul rode with the club for years and was a familiar figure there as a cyclist, mentor, and supporter. After his passing, members started the criterium to honor that history and his love of cycling and of Sarajevo, a city central to his life and work.
The race drew licensed riders from across Bosnia and Herzegovina. The Elite prizes, all funded by the Challenge, went to the top three finishers, and Amra Abadžić Lowe presented the awards.
Vedad Karić of BK Rotacija Spin in Zenica won the Elite race. He also took home the Paul Lowe Trophy, awarded to the best rider in the points classification.
